What you may and may not do with an InstantEduMail temporary inbox, including rules on impersonation, fraud and eligibility misuse.

What the service is

InstantEduMail provides education-focused temporary inboxes on domains we operate. An address such as you@mail-edu.eu is a disposable inbox for privacy and testing. It is not issued by a school or university, it carries no academic accreditation, and it does not establish or prove student status anywhere.

Permitted use

  • • Receiving sign-up, verification and notification email while testing a website or application you are entitled to test.
  • • Keeping a personal address private when a service requires an email address you do not intend to keep using.
  • • Quality assurance on transactional and HTML email for education software, coursework platforms and internal tools.
  • • Teaching or demonstrating email flows, deliverability and spam filtering to a class or team.

Prohibited use

  • • Presenting an InstantEduMail address as an official, accredited or university-issued email address.
  • • Attempting to satisfy student, staff or institutional eligibility checks you do not genuinely qualify for.
  • • Fraud, phishing, malware distribution, harassment, or any attempt to gain unauthorised access to an account.
  • • Registering for services in another person's name, or evading a ban, suspension or trial limit.
  • • Bulk automated inbox creation, scraping, or using the service to receive content that is illegal where you are.

Student offers

Our student offers directory links to programmes run by third-party providers. Each provider decides who is eligible and normally requires proof of genuine enrolment. Using a temporary address to bypass that verification breaches this policy and the provider's own terms.

Enforcement
